Teresa has been with HF Mencap for 20 years, re-launching Hammersmith & Fulham Mencap in 1999 to deliver and develop service user led advocacy services. The charity has grown and diversified over the last 19 years offering a variety of Children and Adult services, which are popular and respected in the local community.
Dean joined HF Mencap in 2013 assisting on a social inclusion project called Social lives which supported adults with learning disabilities to live a fuller life. He is now the Director of Business Development and Operations with overall responsibility for our MyLife Support service, HF Mencap Short breaks, Youth transitions and new client services still in development.
Dean believes everybody has the right to person centred support the opportunity to be involved in activity’s they enjoy and have the resources to achieve their goals.
Amanda joined HF Mencap in 2002 to coordinate Parentsactive, a parent led support organisation, her role evolved to provide advocacy to parents/carers of disabled children and develop further services, Early Support Keyworking and Inclusive Play for disabled children and their parents. Amanda is the mother of a severely disabled young man so has first-hand knowledge of the needs and concerns of parents with disabled children.
Rebecca started off her career as a support worker with National Mencap back in 2010. She joined HF Mencap in 2014 and has worked along side Dean to develop the My Life Service and the broad range of activities offered to our clients. Rebecca took a step back from the day to day running of the service to focus on quality control and further development of the charity. She is currently completing her Level 5 Health and Social Care Management and Leadership Qualification.
