2018 Short Breaks
Flying from a London airport staying in a hotel in the Irish city of Dublin. Flights depart London on Sunday 21st January, return flights will be on Tuesday 23rd January in the afternoon. Clients will experience the different food, currency, and language whilst visiting some of the cities most popular attractions.
Travelling by public transport to the English Waterfront city of Portsmouth. Clients will stay in a classic English bed and breakfast. Activities during the visit will include a tour of the dockyard, going up the Spinnaker viewing tower and a ride on the water power boats or going to Portsmouth blue reef aquarium.
Travelling by train on the 14th March and staying in a beach hotel in Brighton. Breakers will enjoy visiting the Brighton pier, Royal Pavilion, British Airways i360 and seeing an evening Brighton cabaret show. Returning 16th March in the afternoon.
April LONDON’S WEST END
Clients will enjoy staying in a London West End hotel. We will be going for a pre-theatre dinner followed by seeing a live London production theatre show.
May ENGLISH CANALS
Our longest break for 2018 will see clients traveling and sleeping in a fully accessible Narrow boat all over England. This break will involve learning good living skills on the boat and walking along the canals. Catering will be provided on the boat and by the many canal restaurants and public houses.
June CHESSINGTON WORLD OF ADVENTURES
2 day, one night stay going to Chessington world of adventures. Clients can take advantage of a 2 day ride pass and relax in the hotel with Dinner, refreshments and breakfast included.
July BUTLIN’S MINEHEAD
Travelling by private coach to Butlin’s Minehead. The resort has many activities including Splash water world, a traditional funfair and entertainment throughout the day and into every evening. Food and drinks provided on site.
HF Mencap’s 3rd year visiting this fabulous outdoor activities site in Kent. Breakers will join in with adrenaline rushing group sessions: Abseiling, zip wires, crate stacking and problem solving. All sessions are fully inclusive.
Travelling by mini bus and car we will camp outdoors in tents on an English countryside campsite. Clients will set up their own tents and social area, cook their meals outside and visit local areas and places of interest.
Visiting Blackpool by train and staying in a Bed and Breakfast. Clients will enjoy the lights and amusements along the prom, the pier and many more local attractions.
Spending 2 nights, 3 days in the Welsh capital, Cardiff. Going by public transport, clients will visit St Fanans secret garden, a welsh brewery and watch a show at the Millennium Centre.
Heading up to Manchester by Train clients will be able to buy Holiday gifts in the market, visit Manchester United football ground and check out the city’s winter charm.
