Who We Are
HF Mencap is a specialist local charity supporting autistic people, people with learning disabilities, and their families across Hammersmith & Fulham.
Founded in 1964 by parents and carers fighting for equal access to day services, we have grown into a trusted organisation delivering high-quality, person-centred support for over 60 years.
Today, we remain committed to building a borough where every person belongs, participates and thrives.
Our Mission
To work with and represent people with learning disabilities and their families and carers to ensure their voices are heard and their rights met.
Our purpose is simple:
To create a more inclusive and accessible Hammersmith & Fulham — where every individual can achieve their full potential.
We remove barriers to independence and provide the skills, confidence and connections people need to live meaningful, fulfilled lives.
