Meet the Management Team

Who we are and what we do at HF Mencap

Tim Balogun

CEO

Tim Balogun brings a wealth of experience and passion to HF Mencap. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, Tim has been committed to community empowerment throughout his career, working to support individuals in need and fostering inclusive environments.

Over the years, he has taken on leadership roles in various unique charities and not-for-profit organisations, including as CEO of Community Focus in North London, where he spearheaded programs focused on enhancing lives through creative initiatives and community-centred projects. Tim also led as CEO of The Learning Partnership, securing the largest European Social Fund contracts in the UK whilst in tenure.

Tim is driven by the belief that everyone, regardless of ability, deserves the opportunity for a full and happy life. From his first interactions with HF Mencap’s board, staff, service users, and carers, Tim was inspired by the organisation’s family-like atmosphere and the dedication of its community.

He looks forward to working with the HF Mencap family and leading the organisation into an exciting new phase.

Rebecca R

Senior Manager (HR and Business Development)

Rebecca's journey in support and care started in 2010 when she took on a role as a support worker at National Mencap. She was inspired by her childhood experiences when her grandparents provided respite care for children with complex needs.

Her career took a significant step forward in 2015 when she joined HF Mencap as an activity coordinator, contributing significantly to the development of the MyLife service. Throughout her time at HF Mencap, Rebecca has worn multiple hats and has a current focus on the Management of HR, business development, fundraising, and overseeing the youth development project.

Despite facing challenges in school due to her neurodiversities, Rebecca's determination and hard work have led her to achieve impressive qualifications. She holds three Level 5 qualifications, including Leadership and Management in Adult Care and an Associate Diploma in People Management.

Furthering her commitment to excellence and growth, she is working towards earning her Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership, demonstrating her relentless pursuit of professional development and dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who HF Mencap work with.

Priyanka K

Senior Manager

In 2018, Priyanka began working in the Learning Disability sector. Since then, she has taken on different roles as a support worker, HR and administration professional, and senior transition practitioner at HF Mencap.

Today, she holds the esteemed position of Senior Manager and is pursuing her Associate Diploma in People Management.

She also skillfully oversees the community advocacy project.

Manuel M

MyLife Service Manager

Manuel began his journey at HF Mencap as a support worker in 2016 and has since progressed through various roles, culminating in his current position as Service Manager.

He has established strong, positive relationships with families and professionals and is currently pursuing his Level 5 in Social Care Management.

His dedication and commitment are truly commendable.
