HF Mencap is proud to have joined Mencap’s national “Treat me Well” campaign in 2020. Our local group calls on NHS staff to make reasonable adjustments for people with a learning disability which can help to save lives.
Currently, we are campaigning to Imperial College NHS Trust to make reasonable adjustments such as information in Easy Read, a Changing Places toilet, doctors and nurses not using jargon, and having a Learning Disability Liaison nurse to help patients during their appointments.
