London Makers is HF Mencap’s creative and enterprise programme. We support people with learning disabilities to develop skills, express themselves, and explore opportunities through making and design in a supportive, inclusive environment.
London Makers is a place where people build confidence, develop skills and feel proud of what they create.
What is London Makers?
London Makers is a hands-on programme where people come together to create, learn and grow. Members design and produce a range of products, from crafts and artwork to small-scale goods, while building confidence, independence and new skills.
The programme is shaped around what people enjoy and what they want to achieve. Whether someone is trying something new, developing a talent, or exploring future employment opportunities, London Makers provides a supportive and inclusive space to do so.

Who can join?
London Makers is for adults (18+) with learning disabilities and autistic or neurodivergent people whose condition has a significant impact on daily life, communication or independence.
It is designed for people who:

Benefit from structured support to take part in creative activities

Experience barriers to accessing mainstream opportunities

Thrive in a supportive, inclusive group environment
Places are offered based on support needs and suitability for the programme, rather than diagnosis alone.
